Start of the fourth season of "Ladykracher" with Anke Engelke

Nov/12/2008 | Anke Engelke is back! In twelve new episodes (and a one-hour special) of her multiple prize-winning sketch comedy “Ladykracher”, from Friday 7 November 2008 at 10:15 p.m. on Sat. 1, the funniest woman in Germany will again be presenting female characters – funnier, crazier and more far out than ever!

In the Ladykracher “Casting-Bits” we again meet: Ruth, the tree hugger, and Flo, the wallflower. New faces in the “Ladykracher” club are: Urte, the hardcore lesbian, Ludmilla, the Russian millionaire’s wife, Onka, the “celebrity hussy” and Patty the overachiever.

We have all experienced it. People in the next seat on the bus or train making really annoying calls on their mobile phones, special encounters with fringe professional groups such as “dog trainers”, irritations at the supermarket checkout and hysterical employees in the employment office. In the “Ladykracher“ sketches, Anke Engelke and her acting ensemble show the funny moments in the everyday lives of women AND men in Germany. In addition, advertising spots and Hollywood blockbusters are satirised by Ladykracher. The highlights of this series are also the bizarre trips to the “Ladykracher” fantasy worlds. Here's a taste: You will learn what it means to be a woman married to rat, how employees in the pathology department celebrate their birthdays and why woman shouldn't diffuse car bombs...

Once again, great theater and film actors join the comedy queen Anke Engelke in an impressive display of comedic skill: Bettina Lamprecht, Matthias Matschke and Kai Lentrodt as well as several who are new in the fourth season: Charly Hübner, Friederike Kempter, Lena Dörrie, Holger Stockhaus and Daniel Wiemer. And there is a little reunion with an original "Ladykracher": Christoph Maria Herbst makes a guest appearance.

The first three seasons of Ladykracher were broadcast in 2002 and 2003. Ladykracher was honored with the German Television Award, the German Comedy Award and the "Goldene Rose" in 2004.
