Anansi - der Traum von Europa

In "Anansi", scriptwriter and director Fritz Baumann tells the story of an adventurous odyssey experienced by a group of West Africans to build a new life in Germany. Objectively and unbiased, he shows that the young Africans are better off contributing towards the development of their own society that having false hopes.
Within the context of the Munich Film Festival, "Anansi" received the "ONE FUTURE AWARD 2002" from the Interfilm Academy. Among other things, the Jury’s decision was based on the fact that "Anansi excels in terms of its first-rate portrayal of the events, its meaningful, impressive and convincing photography, through its wonderful music representing several countries as well as its extraordinary actors who really flourish in their roles."
"Anansi" views the world through alien eyes – from a different perspective. The outcome is a call for tolerance and dignity.
