Mario Barth presents: Germany’s best comedians

In 2007 Mario Barth invited the crème de la crème of the German comedy scene and promising newcomers to this year’s grand TV-Gala "Mario Barth presents: Germany’s best comedians" TV-Gala. Comedy stars including Kaya Yanar, Ingo Appelt, Johann König and Mirja Boes accepted this coveted invitation from Germany’s most successful stand-up comic, providing first-class comedy on November 2 and 9, 2007 at 9:15 p.m. on RTL.

The first four episodes of "Mario Barth presents: Germany’s best comedians" were fantastically successful. Up to 3,48 million viewers followed the shows on RTL in January and June 2007. Hardly surprising really: after all, Mario Barth presented comedy greats including Schneider, Oliver Pocher, Paul Panzer and Cindy from Marzahn to his laid-back stand-up and improvisation gathering.

The show was recorded within the context of the "International Cologne Comedy Festival", which has been held annually by Köln Comedy GmbH since 1991. Many artists appearing on "Mario Barth presents: Germany’s best comedians" have managed to make their breakthroughs as a result of appearing at his festival.

The first four episodes of "Mario Barth presents: Germany’s best comedians" were aired on January 5 and 12 and on June 15 an 22, 2007 on RTL.
