Bundesvision Song Contest
An absolutely first-class music event – the Bundesvision Song Contest. Germany 12 points – so much is clear for the initiator and presenter Stefan Raab from the very outset. For this reason, only German music acts take part in this competition – one from each state! In the Bundesvision Song Contest, well-established bands and newcomers from throughout the country have the opportunity to present themselves to a broader audience with the potential for chart success. Taking advantage of this break have been Fettes Brot, Revolverheld, Clueso, Sido, Mia, Jan Delay, UNHEILIG among many others.
And the winner is decided by the viewers at home, voting by phone to ensure that their favorites win the competition. Local patriotism is not banned – giving your vote to the act from your own state can often decide who wins!
While the group "Juli" won the event in 2005, "Seeed" was the clear audience favorite in 2006, "Oomph! feat. Marta Jandová" in 2007, "Subway to Sally" in 2008, "Peter Fox" in 2009 and in 2010 "UNHEILIG".
But you don’t always have to win to be a winner! In the first year the Bundesvision Song Contest was held, chart leaps of up to 30 places were possible, the singles of various artists even jumped up to 86 places up the charts!
