Jörg Grabosch (born in 1962) is a co-founder of BRAINPOOL, shareholder and CEO of BRAINPOOL TV GmbH and responsible for Production (Shows and Events) and Corporate Communications. Jörg Grabosch is the Executive Producer of "TV total", of the "TV total" events (including "TV total Wok World Cup", "TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge", "The Grand TV total Tower Dive", "Federal Vision Song Contest") and the grand Saturday night show "Beat Raab".
Prior to founding BRAINPOOL, Jörg Grabosch initially worked as a freelance editor for Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper. From 1983 onwards he spent seven years as a writer and implementation specialist for WDR, stern TV and Deutsche Welle TV. After spending a year as Desk Manager at RIAS TV, he switched to the Hamburg-based pay-TV station Premiere as Editor in Chief in 1991, where Grabosch – among other things – produced in excess of 1,200 live broadcasts of the daily interview format "0137" and, with "0137 Night Talk", developed the first interactive TV call-in show. In 1994, he was brought to the Cologne-based RTL subsidiary Medienfabrik by the former RTL programming director as Executive Producer for the "RTL Night Show" with Thomas Koschwitz.
In 1994, Grabosch left the production company. In collaboration with Martin Keß and Ralf Günther, he founded BRAINPOOL development consulting production GmbH and produced "The Harald Schmidt Show", "The Weekly Show" and "TV total" to name but a few. In late 1999, Grabosch floated the company and was appointed Chairman of BRAINPOOL TV AG. At the end of 2001, BRAINPOOL was taken over by VIVA Media AG and Jörg Grabosch was appointed, in addition to his CEO position at BRAINPOOL, as a Member of the VIVA Media AG Board, responsible for Content. In December 2006, MTV Networks Europe – meanwhile the main shareholder of BRAINPOOL – and the BRAINPOOL TV GmbH management agreed to a management buy-out by BRAINPOOL. With a shareholding of 25 percent, Jörg Grabosch has been the new shareholder and CEO of BRAINPOOL TV GmbH since then.
