As a Managing Director, Ralf Günther (born in 1962) manages the development of the BRAINPOOL TV GmbH artists. Further responsibilities of the co-founder of BRAINPOOL include internal productions and holdings.

Ralf Günther is regarded as an expert in the German comedy scene. For 15 years, he presented his own comedy programme and ensemble, "Die Niegelungen", in over 2000 live performances and countless TV appearances. Furthermore, he hosted the first Cologne Comedy Festival TV Gala in 1993 as well as the 7-part ARD show "Brennende Herzen".

In 1994, he was – in cooperation with Martin Keß – head writer for "RTL Nachtshow" and they and Jörg Grabosch founded BRAINPOOL development consulting production GmbH the very same year.

Since then, Ralf Günther has been the Executive Producer of the SAT.1 "Wochenshow" (Weekly Show"), which he both created and developed and in finally 2011 relaunched. In addition to the "Wochenshow", he has also produced the Christmas and Mother's Day Gala "Danke Anke!", "Anke Late Night", "LiebesLeben","Axel!", "Sketch News" and "Zwei Weihnachtsmänner" ("Two Santas') .

At present he is responsable for the comedy series "Ladykracher", "Pastewka" and the shows "Fröhliche Weihnachten"/"Fröhlicher Frühling" ("Merry Chrismas"/"Happy Spring"), "German Comedy Award" and "Die Wochenshow 2011"
