"Geile Zeit" – Juli wins Stefan Raab’s "Bundesvision Song Contest" (Federal-Vision Song Contest)

A smash hit at the "Bundesvision Song Contest": 10,000 viewers joined the party at the Oberhausen Arena, where Juli from Hesse came out tops. With their hit "Geile Zeit" (Cool Time), they were awarded 159 Points from the 16 Federal States, hence beating Fettes Brot (Schleswig-Holstein, 130 Points) and Sido (Berlin, 113 Points). In the advertising-relevant target group, the "Bundesvision Song Contest" achieved a market share of 21.2 percent and, among the 14- to 29-year-olds, a juicy 37 percent. An average of 3.23 million viewers tuned in to watch the musical spectacle.

Stefan Raab: "this was a first-class music event. And anybody claiming the opposite will be sued. I know what I’m talking about!" And TV viewers at home also had a "Cool Time": with a daily market share of 14.8 percent on Saturday, ProSieben was clearly the day’s market winner. And it was exciting right down to the very end: at 11:43 p.m. Stefan Raab, Annette Frier and Oliver Pocher announced the winner. Therefore, the next competition will be taking place in Hesse. Juli lead singer, Eva, was ecstatic: "we just didn’t expect to win. We thought Fettes Brot and Sido were the favorites."
