Anke Engelke receives the "Deutscher Comedypreis" (German Comedy Award)


On Saturday, Anke Engelke received – in the "Best Comedienne" category – the "Deutscher Comedypreis 2001". The Brainpool star ("Anke – die Comedyserie", "Danke Anke!") accepted the award at the grand RTL Gala held on the occasion of the "11th International Cologne Comedy Festival".

The jury – chaired by Jochen Busse – honoured the special achievements of Anke Engelke in 2001. The award was presented by Atze Schröder.

The "Deutscher Comedypreis" was awarded in a total of eight categories. The award for the "Best Comedian" went to Michael Herbig ("Bullyparade"). The "Best Comedy Series" prize was awarded to "Ritas Welt". The jury awarded the "Best Comedy Show" prize to "Was guckst du?!" with Kaya Yanar.
