Max song receives Eins Live Award
The "TV total" shooting star, Max Mutzke, has received the "Eins Live Crown 2004" award for his song "Can’t Wait Until Tonight", written by Stefan Raab. Proud and very happy, Max accepted Germany’s biggest radio award for the "Best Single" at the awards ceremony in Oberhausen, thanking the "TV total" team and all his fans for their support.
32.6% of Eins Live listeners voted for "Can’t Wait Until Tonight" in the "Best Single" category. Max and his angelic voice won the "TV total" SSDSGPS song contest with the Blues ballad, to go on to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. With his victory, Max beat his competitors Virginia Jetzt! with "Ein ganzer Sommer" (29.9 percent), Blue Lagoon with "Break My Stride" (20.5 percent), Schiller and Heppner with "I Feel You" (10.8 percent) and Jam & Spoon with "Set Me Free" (6.2 percent).
Germany’s biggest radio awards ceremony was held on December 2, 2004, at the Arena in Oberhausen for the fifth time. A total of 800,000 voted to decide who would receive the Eins Live Crown in a total of nine categories. Only the Crown for Lifetime Achievement was decided by the Eins Live editorial team and was awarded to Nina Hagen.
