Saxony, twelve points!

Stefan Raab, the WOK World Champion and King of the Diving Board just can’t let go. The "TV total" host is now giving Germany his very own Grand Prix, the "Bundesvision Song Contest" (Federal Vision Song Contest). The starting line includes: the Hesse chart toppers "Juli", the Hip-Hop smashes from "Fettes Brot" and "Deichkind" as well as successful producer "Mousse T." with Emma Lanford – the "Bundesvision Song Contest" on February 12, 2005 at 8:15 p.m. LIVE on ProSieben.

For years now, he has been one of the most successful contestants of the Eurovision Song Contest (formerly known as the Grand Prix d’Eurovision) – be it as a producer (Guildo Horn, Max Mutzke) or singer ("Wadde Hadde Dudde Da"): every time, Stefan Raab was among the top ten. Now the entertainer has created the "Bundesvision Song Contest", the very first Grand Prix for the Federal States. In the line-up: Sandy (Rhineland-Palatinate), Deichkind (Mecklenburg-West Pomerania), Klee (Saarland), Lukas Hilbert (Bremen), Juli (Hesse), De Randfichten (Saxony), Samy Deluxe (Hamburg), Fettes Brot (Schleswig-Holstein), Clueso (Thuringia), Virginia Jetzt! (Brandenburg), Mamadee feat. Gentleman (North Rhine-Westphalia), Apocalyptica feat. Marta (Baden-Württemberg), Slut (Bavaria), Jansen & Kowalski (Saxony-Anhalt), Mousse T. with Emma Lanford (Lower Saxony) and Sido, representing Berlin. Stefan Raab’s contribution towards the campaign for a radio quota for German songs: at least half of each song competing must be sung in German! From January 17, 2005 the 16 contestants will present themselves, and their Federal States, in self-made campaign clips on broadcast on "TV total". Furthermore, the candidates will also be on VIVA. In addition to the new show "17" (daily at 5 p.m.) – hosted by Janin Reinhardt, Gülcan Karahanci and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf – there will be several Specials focusing in detail on Raab’s Grand Prix. On February 12, 2005 is the Grand Final. Within the context of a Saturday evening show, hosted, among others, by Stefan Raab, Sandy and Co. will be appearing, and competing, live in front of an audience of 10,000 at Oberhausen Arena. The winner of the "Bundesvision Song Contest" will be determined by the viewers at home via telephone voting. And the audience can also vote for the candidate from their own Federal State! The results in the various States will be announced by celebrities residents.
