MySpass gets serious – the beta version of the new comedy portal comes to an end
The online portal is a professionally edited comedy website. As a legal video on demand platform, www.myspass.de is unique among German-language sites. Already available TV content from shows such as “Stromberg”, “Pastewka”, “Dr.Psycho” and from “Schlag den Raab” and “TV total” will be shown in full-length or abridged versions suitable for the Internet. Comedy shows produced especially for the Internet make up another important pillar of the site. In addition, www.myspass.de is an Internet portal targeted towards discovering and promoting the stars and programmes of the future. The website knows no boundaries when it comes to finding content – www.myspass.de is just as open to young stand-up comics from small-town Germany as successful international comedy programmes.
All of MySpass’s content is financed through advertising revenues, making it free of charge to users. Dirk Ströer’s Media Ventures GmbH was commissioned exclusively with the business of marketing the site. orangemedia.de GmbH, a subsidiary of Media Ventures GmbH, is currently responsible for selling the ad space.
MySpass content can also be found on the sites of licence partners AOL and MSN, both leading European Internet companies. Highlights from the comedy portal can also be downloaded from the German iTunes Store. Other first-class partners include CTS Eventim AG, Germany’s leading ticket distributor, and TV1.de, one of the leading providers of Web-based television and media services as well as IPTV.
