Tripple prize-winners: BRAINPOOL receives three Television Awards

Stefan Raab and Anke Engelke are the big winners at the 2011 German Television Awards . Together with Judith Rakers, they received an award for presenting the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. Anke Engelke received an additional award for the current series of her successful comedy "Ladykracker". Stefan Raab also won the Audience Award.

The 2011 Eurovision Song Contest receives the Best Entertainment award
It's brilliant from start to finish and presented in a cheeky yet masterful way in three languages. Anke Engelke, Stefan Raab and Judith Rakers presented the spectacular TV event live from Düsseldorf. This year ARD wins the Best Entertainment category with the Eurovision Song Contest - ahead of both RTL shows "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!" (RTL) and "Let's Dance" (RTL).

Ladykracher wins in the Best Comedy category
Anke Engelke, magnificent in all her roles, wins over the judges with her new series of "Ladykracher". "Die Bülent Ceylan Show" (RTL) and the "heute-show" (ZDF) were also nominated for the award.

Audience Award: It's neck and neck with a photo finish - The audience vote Stefan Raab Best Entertainer
Stefan Raab had a close lead with 41.5 per cent of the votes, ahead of Joko and Klaas with 41 per cent and Günther Jauch with 17.5 per cent. 13 presenters and presenter-duos were initially nominated for the Best Entertainer award. The first three were decided four days before the award ceremony. Telephone and online voting continued up until the day of the award ceremony.

THE 13th GERMAN TELEVISION AWARDS took place at the Coloneum in Cologne. Nine independent judges, headed by Christoph Keese and Christiane Ruff, decided on the award-winners on the day of the gala.
