LENA – nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards

Year after year the MTV Europe Music Awards is one of the most popular award ceremonies in the music business. The 18th awards ceremony will take place on November 6th in the Odyssey arena in Belfast - MTV and VIVA will be broadcasting the spectacular event live starting at 8 p.m.

In addition to the many international categories, the "Best German Act" will be honoured again this year - LENA is among those nominated in this category.

LENA has climbed the music career ladder as few others have: her debut single "Satellite" (double platinum, 1st place, ESC winner 2010) and the two albums "My Cassette Player" (5 times gold, 1st place) and "Good News" (platinum, 1st place) inspired millions of fans and her live tour was a tremendous success. She received numerous awards including ones from SWR 3 (newcomer of the year), 1Live/ WDR (1Live crown in the Best Single (Satellite) and Best Artist categories), two Echos (most successful newcomer in Germany and most successful artist in Germany) and from HÖRZU magazine (Golden Camera).

The nomination for an MTV Europe Music Award is yet another honour for the unique artist. LENA has just recently recorded and released her new single "What A Man" for German actor Matthias Schweighöfer's directorial debut of the same name. This very special version in addition to other exclusive bonus material is included in the platinum edition of her album "Good News", which was just released last Friday (September 16th, 2011).
