Elton’s indecent proposal: Win EUR 100,000 or lose it all – on ‘Elton zockt – LIVE!’, Saturday on ProSieben
A young housewife frets over her collection of high-heeled shoes, a car buff puts his favourite custom body on the line, and a one-man showman his keyboard: On ‘Elton zockt – LIVE!’, contestants stake their entire valuables on a chance to win EUR 100,000. There’s a lot they can win, and they put a lot on the line. Those who lose the duel with Elton have to watch as what they have wagered is destroyed before their eyes. ProSieben is airing the four-hour live show, ‘Elton zockt – LIVE!’, on Saturday, 20th April 2013, beginning at 8:15 p.m.
Elton criss-crosses the country in search of contestants for the first Saturday-evening show of his own, finding game partners in the casino, outside the courtroom, in a shoe store, in a tattoo salon or in a retirement home. Some 30 contestants face off against Elton; eight of them have a chance at the jackpot. They wager their kitchen furnishings, their brand-new television, the couch at home or even the clothes on their back. Because Elton has an indecent proposal for them: if they defeat the ProSieben host in games such as can knockdown, jump rope or balloon darts, they will appear on the live show, where they will play for EUR 100,000. But Elton demands their personal property as the deposit for this opportunity. If Elton wins, the stakes are gone, destroyed before the contestant’s eyes.
Three rounds of play decide who will be chosen to face off against Elton in the final round, where the prize is EUR 100,000. The contestants’ valuables are at stake in every round. Winners keep their wagered goods, advance to the next round and win money. In the first round, eight contestants vie for EUR 5,000. In the second round, four contestants for EUR 10,000. In the third round, two contestants face off for EUR 20,000 and the chance to advance to the final round. Then, in the final round, the finalist duels with Elton for the EUR 100,000 prize. Before each round, the contestants can decide whether to continue or go home with what they have won thus far.
Elton is the host of the great live show. The final round will be hosted by Sandra Rieß. Annica Hansen and Tommy Scheel are on the job as outside reporters.
