Successful start for the international adaptation of "TV total Turmspringen" in Denmark and Sweden
“Stjerner på vippen”, the Danish adaptation of Germany's successful “TV total Turmspringen” on ProSieben (international marketing name: “Stars in Danger – The High Dive”), was launched on August 19 in Denmark on channel TV3 with a sensational market share of 19.9 % in the target group of 3 and up. With this, the show was almost five times higher than the primetime channel average of 2012.
As the Swedish version of “Stars in Danger – The High Dive” (“Kändishoppet”) already proved a resounding success for TV3 in spring, the station put the show straight back on air with a second series on August 19. Despite tough competition in the form of the Pop Idol premiere on TV4, “Kändishoppet” was positioned considerably higher than the channel average of the previous year.
The format “Stars in Danger – The High Dive” has now been sold in 16 countries, including the USA, China, Spain, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Chile, Turkey and Russia.
The ninth edition of “TV total Turmspringen” by and with Stefan Raab will be broadcast on ProSieben in late fall.
