Special Grimme Award for Stefan Raab

The Jury has made up its mind – the winners of the 41st Adolf Grimme Awards have been decided. At today’s press conference, the Grimme Institut announced this year’s winners. In the "Special" category, Stefan Raab receives the award for the discovery and promotion of musical talents in his "SSDSGPS – Ein Lied für Istanbul" (A Song for Istanbul) within the context of his show "TV total".

In Spring 2004, Stefan Raab hosted the talent competition "Stefan Sucht Den Super-Grand-Prix-Star" (Stefan seeks the Super Grand Prix Star), which the 23-year-old Max Mutzke won. Max then went on to win the German finals and represented Germany at the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul.
