Stromberg

"Stromberg" is the sitcom revolving "around completely normal office madness". At the center is a boss you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy: Bernd Stromberg (Christoph Maria Herbst). He is sarcastic to the quick, egocentric without parallel, ambitious to the roots of his hair – especially when it comes to his own interests.

Stromberg is rehabilitated and proves to be in peak condition again! With his docu-series, he has made CAPITOL Insurance renowned throughout the nation. You can’t let this man be wasted in the archive! This is at least what the new head of admin thinks and therefore demands that he is returned to the claims processing department. And Stromberg continues exactly where he left off, because a popular boss has, after all, made a mistake and had "better bend over and take it like a man"! For this reason, children and employees all need clear limits – something he makes crystal-clear to his staff. He is willing only to make exceptions for attractive women, such as the new employee Jennifer (Milena Dreißig). Stromberg tries to hit on her. He seems to think that he is hosting some kind of weapon summit – "sex bomb against a comedy rocket". But Stromberg’s attempt at flirting flops first time around. Never mind, Stromberg is, after all, "tougher than the flu" when it comes down to the nitty-gritty.

Since becoming the advertising icon of CAPITOL Insurance, Stromberg constantly questions Becker’s (Lars Gärtner) instructions in front of the entire staff, goes rights over his boss’s head when dealing with departmental problems and has no qualms about roping in the new head of admin. But which of the two men will comes out smelling of roses in the end? Ernie’s(Bjarne I. Mädel) private life is a total mess: his girlfriend has left him and his mother has unexpectedly passed away. He is quite open about his sadness and grief and gets on Stromberg’s nerves as a result…

Ulf (Oliver K. Wnuk) and Tanja (Diana Staehly) are looking for an apartment. They finally want to live together, and hence remove numerous problems in their relationship. But their shared apartment immediately causes new problems, for example who they are going to invite to the house-warming party. Tanja wants to be conscientious about her work and cannot comprehend why Ulf does not understand that. She not only controls things in her working environment, she also does so in her private life. There is a very simply reason for this: Tanja comes to the conclusion that she is considerably more intelligent than her boyfriend in many, many matters…

Stromberg continues to fling rally nasty insults about her excessive weight at Erika (Martina Eitner-Acheampong). He also sabotages her choice for the Works Council by nominating a counter-candidate. Although she has enough problems of her own, she frequently supports the causes of her colleagues – something that Stromberg is not at all happy about…
